Devon Afquir is a Métis-Cree and Amazigh afro-indigenous person living in treaty six territory. As a disconnected indigenous person Devon has worked hard to integrate indigenous ways into their life. From making ribbon skirts, attending Métis crafting workshops, learning plains cree (which their late Great-Grandmother spoke with her mom), starting beadwork projects and constantly designing new indigenous arts of various kinds, Devon has gained a connection they always felt had been missing from their life.
